Basic controls

The browser build is easiest on desktop. Use keyboard input after focusing the game frame.

  • Enter starts or confirms menu choices.
  • Left and right movement keys handle side-scrolling movement.
  • Space is used for jump where the current character supports it.
  • X is used for the Knuckles punch section when available.
  • Escape may pause or exit browser fullscreen depending on the current state.

Why focus matters

An iframe is a separate browsing context. That means the parent page and the game frame can receive input differently. Clicking the game frame before playing is the simplest way to send keys to the correct place.

When controls feel stuck

  • Click inside the game screen again.
  • Exit fullscreen and re-enter from the page button.
  • Refresh the page if the game loaded before you clicked Start.
  • Use a desktop browser if a mobile browser does not expose keyboard input reliably.
